First Timer's Guide
What to expect your first time, how to prepare, and how to have a safe, meaningful experience.

Start low. For your first time, pick a Level 1 strain or a gentle product, and start small. You can always try more another day, but you can't undo taking too much. Read our Dosage Guide and ask our staff anything. We're happy to help you choose.
Set and setting matter. Choose a safe, comfortable place, ideally somewhere quiet and private with people you trust. Your mindset going in shapes the experience more than almost anything else.
Clear your schedule. Most experiences last several hours. Don't plan anything else, and leave time to rest afterward.
Don't mix. Avoid alcohol, cannabis and other substances your first time. Talk to a doctor first if you take any medication; lithium can be dangerous with psilocybin, and antidepressants can change or block the effects.
Have a sober friend nearby. Someone you trust who isn't taking anything makes a big difference the first time.
Trust the process. Difficult moments can come up, especially as the effects begin. Breathe, change your surroundings or music, and remember it's temporary and it will pass.
Integration matters. What you do in the days after can be as valuable as the experience itself. Journal, rest and reflect.
