How to use psilocybin responsibly. What to do if a difficult experience arises, and when to seek help.

Start low. The line between a gentle experience and an overwhelming one can be thinner than you'd think. Start with a Level 1 strain or a gentle product, start small, and ask our staff for help. Read our Dosage Guide before you go.
Never drive. Psilocybin affects coordination and perception. Don't drive or operate machinery until the effects have fully worn off, and give it the rest of the day.
Check your medications. Talk to a doctor first if you take any medication. Lithium can be dangerous with psilocybin, and antidepressants can change or block the effects. Psilocybin isn't recommended for people with a personal or family history of schizophrenia, psychosis or bipolar disorder.
If a difficult experience comes up: change your setting, put on calm music, have a trusted person nearby, breathe slowly, and remind yourself it's temporary. Lying down with your eyes closed often helps.
Have a sober friend nearby. Especially for your first time or a higher level, have someone you trust who isn't taking anything.
Don't mix. Avoid alcohol and other substances. Mixing tends to make nausea and difficult experiences more likely.
